This Privacy Policy explains how the noknok mobile application (“the app”, “we”, “us”, “our”) handles information. The app is provided by noknok (Christopher Houben, Switzerland). If you have any questions, contact us at christopher@noknok.app.
The noknok app does not collect, store, or share any personal data on our servers. There are no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking. The only sensitive information the app handles — your Wi-Fi network name and password — is entered by you and sent directly to your own noknok device on your local network so that the device can connect to your Wi-Fi. We never receive or store it.
The noknok app helps you set up and configure noknok modular hardware. To do this it:
None. The app does not collect personal data, does not require an account, and contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies.
When you set up a device, you may enter your Wi-Fi network name and password. The app transmits these only to the noknok device you are setting up, on your local network. noknok does not receive, log, or store your Wi-Fi credentials.
The app uses your device’s internet / local network access solely to (a) download public product files and (b) communicate with your noknok device during setup. It does not access your contacts, location, photos, microphone, or camera.
We do not sell, rent, or share any personal data, because we do not collect any.
The noknok app is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone.
Because the app stores no personal data on our servers, there is no personal data for us to lose. Communication with your noknok device happens on your own local network.
As we add features (for example, optional user accounts or cloud-connected features), we will update this policy and change the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected here before the affected features are released.
